Lovelyloot’s Holiday Gift Guides: Best Beauty Advent Calendars

Lovelyloot's Holiday Gift Guides: Best Beauty Advent Calendars

Beauty advent calendars are super fun because you get to open a little treat each day as you’re counting down to the holiday. Or if you receive one as a gift, you can open them all at once!

While they’re definitely more popular in the UK / Europe, beauty brands and stores in the US have been embracing them too. We’ve rounded up a few of our favorites from this year below.

Beauty advent calendars tend to sell out quickly, so if you have your eye on one, we recommend snapping it up quickly! The Black Friday / Cyber Monday sales are usually your last chance to get the more popular ones before you have to start stalking eBay 😉

Luxury Options

Charlotte Tilbury Naughty and Nice Magic Box

Charlotte Tilbury Naughty and Nice Magic BoxCharlotte Tilbury’s advent calendar gives you the ability to try 12 iconic products from her line for $200. There are quite a few repeats from last year’s box, which I received as a Christmas gift, but I think the lipstick (Walk of Shame, a berry rose) and lip gloss (Unleash Me, a deep plum) this year are far nicer shades. All the products are fabulous, but I particularly loved the mascara, eye makeup remover, and Eyes to Mesmerize cream eyeshadow – which I’m still using almost daily nearly a year later!

Molton Brown Cabinet of Scented Luxuries Advent Calendar

Molton Brown Cabinet of Scented Luxuries Advent CalendarMolton Brown’s advent calendar is one of the few with 24 products, which means you can actually use it to count down to Christmas! At $250, it’s definitely one of the most expensive options, but you get to try a ton of different fragrances and products – body wash, lotions, scrubs, hand & foot treatments, haircare products, and even mini candles.

Mid-Range Options

Disney x Kiehl’s True Originals Gift Set

Disney x Kiehl's True Originals Gift SetWhile this is one of the smaller advent calendars (only 7 products for $55), it’s a fun collaboration. The old-school Mickey Mouse packaging alone would make this a great gift. On top of that, you get travel-size versions of some of their most popular skincare essentials, including the Midnight Recovery Concentrate and the Avocado Eye Treatment.

NUXE Beauty Countdown Gift Set

NUXE Beauty Countdown Gift SetThis set is becoming hard to find but is an excellent value. You get 10 covetable face and body products for $67 from French pharmacy favorite NUXE. These ultra-moisturizing products will be incredible to have during the winter months, the dry body oil and Rêve de Miel lip balm in particular.

Feelunique 12 Days of Beauty Calendar

Feelunique 12 Days of Beauty CalendarFeelunique, Europe’s largest online beauty retailer, has curated an amazing multi-brand advent calendar allowing you to try 12 products from the likes of NYX, Elizabeth Arden, Rimmel, The Organic Pharmacy, Jurlique, and Invisibobble for just $47.25. And they now ship to the US for just $3!

Budget-Friendly Options

No7 Beauty Advent Calendar

No7 Beauty Advent CalendarThis is a nice mix of makeup and skincare products from No7, the UK’s #1 beauty brand. In the US, you can find No7 products at Walgreens, Target, and Ulta – the advent calendar is currently $40 at Walgreens. Note: There is a different version of the No7 advent calendar (with twice as many products) in the UK, which launched to a 100,000 person waiting list and sold out immediately…so this is a nice alternative 🙂

essence Advent Calendar 01 Bring The Bash

essence Advent Calendar 01 Bring The Bash

essence is a super-affordable makeup line out of Germany that you can find in the US at Ulta. Their products are great quality for the price (my favorite liquid eyeliner is from essence and is $3!). This advent calendar would be a great gift for a younger woman. It contains 24 products, including mini nail polishes, full-size lipsticks and other cosmetics & accessories (hair ties, tattoos, sponges, etc.). It’s currently sold out at Ulta, but still available on essence’s own site for $39.99.

Target 12 Days of Beauty Advent Calendar

Target 12 Days of Beauty Advent CalendarAt $15, this is the definitely the most affordable advent calendar I’ve seen – and the 12 products it includes are pretty excellent. The Pixi Glow Tonic and Vichy Mineral 89 Face Moisturizer are already in my cupboard at home and would make great travel options! I’d also be excited to get the Maybelline Great Lash Mascara and Real Techniques sponge. Those four products alone would be worth getting this box in my opinion!
